Tent Time

The kids had a great time yesterday when we went on a wagon ride to the park. Caleb was a big boy and rode his bike most of the way there while Ian and Hadyn rode in the wagon. Riley girl was strapped to me but facing out to see the world. They had fun on the playground and met some new friends that live about 2 min from the Welch's. Caleb was great in taking turns and made sure the other kids had their turn before he took his. Apparently Matt and I are doing something right! :) Hadyn fell asleep on the way home and was not pleased at all when I made her wake up to eat. Then later the Caleb and Daddy made a tent in Daddy’s office. He was really excited in showing it off. After nap we moved the tent into the living room so there was more room to play. Caleb and Ian made a book room under one chair and then a toy room under another. I remember having so much fun playing in the tents my parents made for me. It was neat to watch them have that same fun. Riley really wanted to join in but decided that laughing at all of us was more fun! Nichelle Terry had her squealing and rolling at church this evening. We were in the education bldg and you would have thought the walls were going to crumble from her noise level! Everyone was laughing right along with her. She has been sitting in the chairs in class. Her toes barely reach the floor but she loves it. Tonight was Garrett’s first time at church. I was thoroughly disappointed that I didn't get to hold him but they are coming over tomorrow so Emma can play with the boys. I will get my time with him then! He is growing so fast. Just love the color of his skin- wish I had been born with a great tan!
We will be heading out to Kentucky and Tennessee on Saturday. I know our families are excited to see us. We are glad to get to see family we have not seen in a while. Will finally get to see Heathers belly!! In about 5 months I will be an Aunt! I am way excited if you can't tell!

As promised

Here is a picture of Garrett and Emma. It was taken this morning. I believe that Emma is quite taken with her little brother. From what I hear he is a good baby now that he is eating properly! :)
Thought I would leave you all with a few pictures of the kids! Enjoy!

Well Chapel went well. It really made me miss teaching. It was so amazing to hear all the girls singing. It has been a long time since I have sat in chapel. It was so nice. The "talk" went well. I started with "chapel participation" and then moved into my talk . When the talk hit I saw some glazed looks, but all in all a lot of them listened! Mandy got to show off Riley to all of her friends. She is so spoiled! And can I say what an amazing hubby I have. Not only did he watch all of my kids (ours and the ones I watch) twice on Monday for My drs apt and for Rileys Drs apt, but then did it all again so I could speak in Chapel. Watching 5 kids is never an easy task but he handled it like a pro! Gotta love that man!!!

Well both Matt and I started on My Space. It was neat because I found a friend from Harding that I have not talked to in a long time. It takes me a while to get these things set up as you all can tell since I am still working on this site. :) I promise I will add a fmaily photo soon of all of us. We really don't have any of the 5 of us. One of these days!

CAC Chapel

Well today I speak at the CAC girls chapel. I am pretty nervous. Can't say I have ever really done a lot of public speaking unless you count teaching (which I don't). I was fine till I got up this morning and now I really just want to call and cancel! But I know it will go ok. I couldn't possibly be the worst they have ever heard- right? It will be a fun experience though. Mandy has already told me I must bring Riley so she and the other teachers can hold her. She is so demanding! (just kidding Mandy!)

I got to see Garrett last night! He is so adorable!! Seems like such an easy baby already. He has long feet and big eyes. When Caleb saw him he said hes so pretty and then kept calling him "Carrot". Eventually we will get the name right. He will be Emmas baby brother for a long time. I have a picture of him but it is fuzzy and you can't really tell. I'm going to get one from Tanya and post it when I get it.

Well have to run- gotta get my "talk" ready and spend time with my kiddos before I go. Wish me luck!

Craziness

Well this week has already been pretty eventful! Marti went into the hospital yesterday and had a beautiful baby boy. Garrett David was born at 5:49 pm and was 8lbs and 7 oz and 21 inches long. He has a head full of hair. Looks like Emma did when she was born as far as the dark hair and complexion. Don't have a picture yet but will get one soon to post here so you all can see him.

In other news Riley is 4 months now and is growing like a weed. I took her to the Dr. on Monday and she is doing well. She now weighs in at a whopping 12 lbs 4 oz. She is getting a decent belly, and is having a ton of fun in her exersaucer. We are still working on getting her to roll over. She gets to about her side and stays there. But eventually she will get her self over. She is smiling and talking all the time. She gets these really cute belly laughs that get all of us laughing. Her favorite thing to watch is her brothers running in circles. Why that is amusing I am unsure but she loves it. The boys are doing great. They are having a great time with all over their friends. caleb is still into Spider Man and has now began liking the Power Rangers. He never even saw the show and kept talking about them. So we sat down and watched an episode together and now he watches it almost everyday. Ian is still into Spider Man too. He is growing like crazy and is the most cuddly kid right now. He loves having Cauy here and is sad when he doesn't come.

We are really looking foward to seeing all of our family when we head to KY and TN in a couple of weeks. I think the grandparents are about to have a melt down since it has been over 2 months since they have seen them. :) And for some it has been since Rileys' birth.

Since I am still learning the ins and outs of this site I will post more pictures later. I am not sure how to get more than one in there where they are just in a row. Matt is on the phone so he can't help me right now. I'll slowly make inprovements on the site so there will probably be many changes here in the next week.

Have a wonderful day!

New Site

I decided to upgrade from a xanga site to this. I think I will like it better and will be easier to use. Plus as others have put it...there are a lot of "younger" people on xanga. :) Be looking for a new post soon!
