Following in the Footsteps of Friends

In the recent months, several friends have chopped off their hair. I was biding my time till right before I started work, but decided now was the time. These are not great pictures as it was late at night, but hopefully you'll get the idea. I plan on going shorter and getting some highlights, but I wanted to get use to it before I freaked out my kids. Riley did well- she knew who I was. When the boys were her age and I cut my hair they freaked out and wouldn't come to me. I was happy she did ok.

the haircut looks great! I still think my favorite haircut you've worn is short and highlighted like you had it at your wedding! It totally fits you being short! you look beautiful! and congratulations on the new job! we're super excited for you!

Okay, I think when I said... It totally fits you being short... it came out as you're a shorty, but really I meant short hair just fits you... okay sorry for the confusion :)

Laura- I am working my way back to that. I really loved my hair like that. I started to go ahead and do it then, but thought I should warm my kids up to it. :)

I just cut mine too. And now I want it shorter. When it's on the shoulders at all it just flips weird and feels limp when you get hot. I actually did a blog on the "short mom do". Love ya,
Dawn

Rie, the hair looks great. I never really thought about kids not recognizing parents when they make changes to hair, etc. Note to self...

It looks wonderful though! Off to FL tomorrow; I'll kiss the sand and sun for you!
