Prayers

There is a situation going on at work that is not good. I won't go into detail, but I am halfway stuck in the middle of it. Not out of choice but because I have a certain student. It is stressful and frustrating at times. Please pray that it will be resolved soon and that all will work out smoothly. Thanks!

Updates

Well I have posted pictures from part of our Fl trip. There are several new posts so you may have to scroll down to get them all. I will hopefully get the other pictures up soon. Enjoy those for now and have a blessed week!

The Alligator Farm

While we were in St. Augustine we hit one of may favorite places as a child: The Alligator Farm. It still looks the same, but has some new area. We had a blast looking at all of the alligators and crocodiles. The kids got to feed some baby alligators and then watch the bigger ones get fed. I have to say that I wish they fed them like they use too. Now they have rats that they toss at them or dangle to get them to react to. When I was little, they stood on an over hang to the corral and tossed chickens in. It was an amazing sight and sound to observe. We did see some action (see photo below). The guy was tempting one alligator while another crept up behind him. The kids even got to touch a boa constrictor. My Uncle Nick and cousin Tina were able to go with us and we all had a ton of fun. I will have to get more of the pictures from Uncle Nick and post those. I hardly have any of them in my photos. I was concentrating on the Alligators and getting pointers from my uncle who is a photographer.
Oh and just so you know, the very last picture is of Gomeck. He was the largest alligator recorded at the farm. And let me say he is massive. They have a whole section dedicated to him and it was really neat. They now have Maximo, but we didn't get to see him (He was hiding under the dock).

Pictures from FL

Here are some pictures of the place we stayed at. It was actually really nice. It was tucked away, about 4 miles from the beach. It was beautiful and the sunsets were amazing. The kids had a blast there and by the end of our time Caleb and Ian were swimming on their own in the pool. The pool had a rock waterfall that the kids loved to swim near. Riley was jumping off the sides into our arms and loving every min of it. I think the kids will have my love of water. :)

Sorry for the lack of updates here. I have been crazy busy with the first week of school. My amazing husband helped me paint my classroom last weekend even though he was sick, so it looks 100% better than it did. I have had 2 IEP meetings so far and have a few more in the coming months, new computer systems to learn, working on schedules to get my CDC students mainstreamed and somehow teach amid the chaos! It has been an interesting week, but a great one too. I am settling in and getting organized. It was funny- the other day one of the assistant principal's came up and asked how I was. I told her fine and she said I have been hearing so many things about you.l Everyone is so impressed. I kind of stared blankly for a min, then smiled and said well I am glad others think I have it together. (Fake it till you make it, baby!!!!)
Ian has been battling a fever virus all week and had to miss pre-school. He was pretty upset, but then happy that he got to spend it with Grandma and Papa Anderson. Matt and I got lucky that Mom had this week off before going back to work so she could help us out. He seems to be doing real well now and will meet us at the house after I get off work tomorrow. I hope it has finally gone. I knew the kids would catch something- it's hard not to in a daycare, but just didn't expect it so soon. The kids really love school. Riley doesn't even cry when I drop her off anymore. She hugs and kisses me and runs off to play. It is too sweet and WAY to much like a big girl. Caleb is now bored at home. He thrives so much at school. He can't wait to get back when the weekend is here.
I have been "stalking" everyone's blogs, but haven't left comments just for times sake, but I hope to get better soon. I still read them everyday. I have the list of pictures from our Fl trip to get uploaded tomorrow. It is 9:30 and I am heading for bed. It's past my bedtime!! :) Hey when you have to get up by 4:30am , 9pm is late!!
