Blogger beta

well I have changed our site over to the beta version. So it may take me a little bit to see what I can do on here, near. There may be a few updates coming and some site changes in the near future. Since I have little time during the day to explore and experiment, it may be gradual! If you have changed over to the beta version, what is your favorite thing about it?

I haven't had any problems since using the new version. I really didn't notice that big of a difference, to be honest. The best thing, I guess, is that your posts publish instantly and you don't have to wait for the little thingy to spin... which ends up locking up and posting your message 100 times... I digress. One of the neater features is the ability to leave "Tags" on your posts. Other than that, I haven't noticed a big difference except that my existing site design no longer works... bummer... I too have to redesign my site in the near future.

I think it's easier to change colors on your layout. I didn't really fool with it much before I switched, so I don't know how hard it was before, but now you just find the "customize" button, click on "fonts & colors" & you can change the colors after you choose the initial template. It's also easier for everyone else with blogger beta to sign in when they're leaving a comment. I haven't messed with the "tags" that Chad mentioned, but I think it's a cool feature too.

i think i've switched our's over too... haven't quite figured out yet... gary's technically the owner of it so that leaves me with little power to make the big changes. the one thing that has been a little annoying lately is having to remember two id's and passwords to post comments on other blogs, one for if they're a regular blog and another for if they're a beta. maybe i'm doing something wrong, but i can't figure out why it's doing that. anyway, enjoy your territory :)
